Meet the Guide - Jonathan
Educational Learning Designer & Former Special Education Teacher
Jonathan brings 9+ years of educational experience and a Master's in Learning Analytics from Columbia University to create inclusive, play-based learning environments. As a former special education teacher, he understands that children learn best when they can explore, create, and discover at their own pace.
His approach combines outdoor education principles with child-directed learning, ensuring every participant feels valued and engaged in their natural learning journey.
Learning happens naturally when children:
- Dig into composting and soil exploration
- Plant, tend, and harvest seasonal crops
- Discover farming techniques through play
- Create art with natural materials
- Follow their interests in unstructured outdoor time
