“The object isn't to make art, it's to be in that wonderful state which makes art inevitable." (Robert Henri)
Note: This workshop takes place in two sessions, Aug 3 & Aug 17. The $95 fee covers both.
Eileen invites and guides participants to explore and cultivate their innate creativity through meditation, movement, writing, and sketching exercises. Focusing on mindset, presence, and creative practices—emphasizing process over outcome. Meeting twice allows for time in between for personal exploration and experimentation.
A Hudson Valley native and multimedia artist, Eileen is a participating artist at the Farm for Upstate Art Weekend 2025. Her work explores themes of memory, family, community, spirituality, nature, and the environment. A lifelong yogi, she teaches yoga locally and leads walking movement and meditation workshops, as well as sketching classes. She currently teaches art and art history at Rockland Community College and has extensive experience as a creative director and graphic designer.
